Milan is the fashion capital of the world, and during Fashion Week (held in February/March and September), the city transforms into a massive runway. Every street corner, cafe, and hotel lobby is packed with editors, models, and influencers dressed to the nines. If you are visiting during this chaotic and glamorous time, here is how to pack to fit right in.

The Italian concept of sprezzatura roughly translates to “studied carelessness” or effortless elegance. Milanese fashion is not about looking like you tried too hard. Avoid packing loud, head-to-toe designer logos.
